Welcome to Your Early Education Toolbox
Our Goal
We have set out with two specific goals in mind in the creation of this site. One: To create a functional guide or toolbox for those of us entering the field of Early Childhood Education and two: to pass a class.
When looking back at what teachers and project inspired me, engaged me. I was not surprised to see that what worked best for me was what got me excited about school! All I wanted was to have fun! Many parents, teachers, and administrators recognize that school can not just be about having ‘fun’ but about ‘learning’. However, it is important that we change our opinions surrounding ‘fun’ from none-educational to an essential tool in promoting student engagement and development. Students can have fun reading and can have fun learning addition. The comprehensive list of materials and centers idea’s my group member, Elizabeth, and I have created combines education with the reality that our students… are just kids. The truth is that kids are curious about the world that they have yet to discover; they want to learn. It is our jobs as educators to teach them how they learn best, why would you want to do anything but? – Madison
